About the game

So Clover! is a cooperative word-association game played on clover-shaped clue boards. Each round, players are dealt secret keywords and must write single-word clues on their clover that hint at all of them at once. Working together, the group tries to guess each player's keywords from the clues provided, scoring points for every correct guess. Tracking your team's best results in the Record of Legends adds a fun push to beat your own high score. It's a quick, creative party game that rewards clever, connective thinking.

Hobbli's Notes

So Clover! is a lovely cooperative twist on word-association games: writing a single clue that connects multiple words is a fun creative challenge in itself. It plays fast and works well with mixed groups who don't necessarily play a lot of word games. Because it leans on shared cultural references, results can vary depending on who's at the table. Still, it's an easy, satisfying pick for groups who enjoy games like Codenames or Wavelength.

What we like

  • Quick cooperative word-guessing encourages creative clue-writing.
  • Very easy to teach in just a few minutes.
  • Works well for mixed groups of casual and word-game fans.
  • High score tracking adds light replay incentive.

Keep in mind

  • Relies heavily on the group's shared cultural references.
  • Less appealing to players who dislike word-association formats.
  • Fully cooperative structure may not satisfy competitive players.

Who it's for
