About the game

ito is a cooperative party game where each player secretly holds a number between 1 and 100 and must work together to arrange everyone's numbers in order. Since revealing your number directly is forbidden, players give clues based on a chosen theme: comparing their number to how strongly they feel about something. Success depends on the group's shared sense of scale and creative communication rather than any hidden competition. With rounds lasting only about ten minutes, ito is easy to play again and again with new themes.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team loves ito for how much genuine conversation and laughter it generates from such a simple premise. It's remarkably scalable, working just as well with a small group as with up to ten players. The cooperative, no-elimination structure keeps everyone engaged throughout, and quick rounds make it easy to squeeze in for one more game. A fantastic pick for icebreakers or mixed groups who don't normally play games together.

What we like

  • Generates genuine conversation and laughter from a simple premise.
  • Scales smoothly from 2 up to 10 players.
  • No player elimination keeps the whole group engaged.
  • Quick 10-minute rounds encourage repeat play with new themes.

Keep in mind

  • Relies heavily on group chemistry and creative clue-giving.
  • Offers limited depth for gamers seeking strategic complexity.
  • Luck of the number draw can make some rounds easier than others.
