About the game

In Juicy Fruits, each player tends their own island paradise, sliding fruit-collector tokens to gather bananas, oranges, limes, pomegranates, and mangosteens. Every turn you must balance fulfilling ship orders that clear valuable space on your island against claiming lucrative businesses from a shared display. Timing matters: hesitate too long on an order and it keeps blocking your shore, but focus only on ships and the best businesses may be snapped up by opponents. The game supports 1 to 4 players, plays in about 50 minutes, and even includes a dedicated solo mode with four difficulty variants. It's a light, tactile tile-and-token puzzle wrapped in a bright tropical theme.

Hobbli's Notes

Juicy Fruits nails the feeling of a tight, ever-shifting puzzle where every turn has real opportunity cost. We like how the fruit-collector movement forces you to plan several turns ahead while staying flexible to what opponents are doing. The choice between clearing your shore and grabbing businesses keeps the tension high in a relatively short playtime. It's an approachable Euro game that still rewards careful timing.

What we like

  • A distinctive fruit-collector movement mechanic that feels fresh compared to typical worker placement.
  • Meaningful tension between clearing island space and claiming valuable businesses.
  • Includes a robust solo mode with four different play variants.
  • Quick to teach and plays in under an hour.

Keep in mind

  • Limited direct conflict may not satisfy players who want more confrontation.
  • Popular businesses can be claimed early, creating some snowballing for the leader.
  • Comparisons to similar titles are inferred from mechanics rather than firsthand play.

Who it's for

A good fit for families and casual Euro gamers aged 8+ who enjoy light tile and token placement puzzles in groups of 1-4.
