About the game
LUNA Capital imagines a 1977 in which humanity is busy colonizing the Moon, and players compete to build the best-run lunar settlement to be named the colony's capital. Drawing construction cards and matching project tiles from a shared market, players lay out cards in ascending numerical rows and place tiles like oxygen collectors, greenhouses, residential complexes, and sales offices onto them. Each tile category scores based on how it's arranged within a player's personal area, rewarding efficient, thoughtful placement. Whoever arranges their settlement most effectively becomes the mayor of LUNA Capital.
Hobbli's Notes
LUNA Capital offers a satisfying tile and card drafting puzzle wrapped in a fun retro-futuristic space race theme. The tension between drafting the right cards and finding space to place matching tiles gives it a nice engine-building feel in a fairly short 45-minute window. It's a solid, if lesser-known, addition to the drafting-and-arranging genre that should appeal to fans of tile-laying city builders looking for something a bit different.
