About the game

Tranquility is a quiet, cooperative card game where players work together in silence to fill a numbered grid with island cards before anyone runs out of legal moves. On your turn you either play a card into ascending numerical sequence or discard two cards, then refill your hand. Since players cannot communicate or discuss strategy, success depends on reading the table state and anticipating what teammates need. It's a short, meditative puzzle that plays in about 20 minutes and works beautifully solo too.

Hobbli's Notes

Tranquility's no-talking rule is its best trick: it turns a simple number-sequencing puzzle into a surprisingly tense exercise in silent cooperation and mind-reading. It's light, quick, and calming in tone despite the real risk of losing as a team. The simplicity means it won't satisfy players craving deep strategic decisions, but as a palate-cleanser or family filler it's lovely. Great for mixed-experience groups since the rules are so easy to teach.

What we like

  • Unique silent-communication rule creates a fresh cooperative puzzle.
  • Quick 20-minute playtime fits easily into any game night.
  • Works well solo or with up to five players.
  • Calm, low-stress tone suitable for all ages.

Keep in mind

  • Very light strategic depth compared to heavier cooperative games.
  • The no-talking gimmick may not appeal to social groups who like table talk.
  • Limited long-term replay depth once the puzzle pattern is learned.

Who it's for
