About the game
Kluster is a fast, tactile dexterity game where players place magnetic stones one at a time inside a roped-off playing area, racing to be the first to get rid of their stones. Whenever stones cluster together during a turn, that player must scoop them all up, which keeps everyone on their toes. It plays in about 20 minutes, supports 1 to 4 players, and packs down small enough to bring anywhere. The rules take only a minute to explain, making it an ideal pickup game for mixed groups. Despite its simplicity, real strategic tension builds as the play area fills with stones.
Hobbli's Notes
We love how much tension a handful of magnets can generate: every placement feels like a tiny gamble. It's the kind of game that gets genuine gasps and laughs around the table, especially when a careless placement triggers a huge unwanted cluster. The tiny footprint and five-minute teach make it a reliable opener or filler for game night. It doesn't have much strategic depth beyond spatial awareness, but that's exactly the point: it's meant to be quick, physical fun.
What we like
- Extremely quick to teach and play.
- Compact and easy to travel with.
- Creates genuine physical tension with every placement.
- Appeals to a wide range of ages and group types.
Keep in mind
- Limited strategic depth compared to full board games.
- Physical dexterity element may frustrate players who prefer pure strategy.
- Only supports up to four players.
Who it's for
Great for families, casual groups, and anyone who enjoys quick dexterity games; works well from kids through adults in groups of up to four.
