About the game

Rhino Hero is a fast, family-friendly dexterity game where players cooperate to build a towering skyscraper one wobbly card at a time. On your turn you add walls to the highest floor, then place a roof card that dictates how the next player must build. Special roof cards can force extra roofs, redirect play, or send the heroic cardboard rhino climbing higher. Whoever plays all their roof cards first wins: unless the tower collapses, in which case the one who caused it loses instantly.

Hobbli's Notes

This is a delightful, no-fuss dexterity game that regularly gets pulled out for quick fillers with kids and adults alike. Hobbli's team appreciates how the tension escalates naturally as the tower grows taller and shakier, with genuine gasps around the table. It doesn't offer much strategic depth, but that's not really the point: it's about the shared thrill of watching cards teeter. A great icebreaker for mixed-age groups.

What we like

  • Extremely quick to learn and set up, ideal for mixed ages.
  • Builds genuine table tension as the tower grows.
  • Portable and inexpensive with high replay value.
  • Works great as a party icebreaker or filler game.

Keep in mind

  • Very light on strategy for gamers seeking depth.
  • Outcomes depend heavily on physical steadiness and luck.
  • Not ideal for players who dislike dexterity/stacking games.

Who it's for
