About the game

Ecosystem is a beautifully illustrated card-drafting game where players build a personal ecosystem of twenty cards across eleven animal and habitat types. Bears score by sitting next to bees and trout, trout benefit from streams and dragonflies, and streams are compared at game's end for the biggest waterway, each of the game's scoring rules rewarding clever, diversified placement. With simple drafting and pattern-building mechanics, it plays quickly while still offering satisfying puzzle-like decisions. It's designed with an educational nod to real ecological relationships.

It's light, fast, and easy to teach, making it a wonderful gateway game for families and younger players. The drafting puzzle has enough depth to keep more experienced gamers engaged too.
