About the game

Don't Get Got! is a party game played in the background of everyday life, where two to ten players each receive six secret missions to secretly complete against each other. The first player to complete three missions wins, but there's no set table or turn order: missions might involve getting someone to compliment your hair or asking them to open a jar for you. It's designed to be played anywhere, from a family gathering to the office to a holiday trip, with games unfolding over however long the group wants. There's no fixed playtime since missions happen organically throughout a day or event.

Hobbli's Notes

This is a fun twist on the party game formula, turning ordinary social moments into a sneaky game of secret objectives. It works best with a group that's willing to lean into the silliness and keep an eye out for missions all day long. Because it has no formal turns or table, it can feel a bit unstructured for players used to conventional party games. Still, the payoff of pulling off a sneaky mission, or catching someone else in the act, makes for great shared stories afterward.

What we like

  • Unique background gameplay fits into any social occasion.
  • Secret missions create memorable, funny moments.
  • No fixed playtime keeps pressure low.
  • Scales to large groups of up to ten.

Keep in mind

  • Relies heavily on the group's willingness to play along all day.
  • Less structured format may confuse players used to traditional games.
  • Some missions may not land with more reserved players.

Who it's for

Great for playful, social groups looking for a party game that runs in the background of a gathering, ages 10 and up.
