About the game

Deckscape: Heist in Venice is the third entry in the cooperative Deckscape series, casting players as retired thieves reuniting for one last job: stealing a billion-euro casino chip in Venice. Using only a deck of cards, players work together to solve puzzles, decode clues, and navigate the story to victory. Each player's unique skills and abilities come into play as the heist unfolds. Designed as a single-use escape room experience, it delivers a tense, immersive puzzle adventure without needing a physical escape room.

Hobbli's Notes

Deckscape distills the escape-room experience into a compact, no-frills card deck, and Heist in Venice delivers an engaging heist narrative with clever puzzle design. It's best enjoyed once as a group since the puzzles can't be replayed, but that one session is genuinely satisfying. The low downtime and cooperative structure keep everyone engaged throughout. It's an easy way to get an escape-room thrill into a normal game night.

What we like

  • Delivers a genuine escape-room puzzle experience in card form.
  • Variable player powers add asymmetric cooperative play.
  • Low downtime keeps the whole group engaged.
  • Compact and portable compared to a physical escape room.

Keep in mind

  • One-time use since puzzles can't be replayed once solved.
  • Not reusable, reducing long-term replay value.
  • Some puzzles may frustrate players unfamiliar with escape-room logic.

Who it's for

Great for cooperative puzzle fans aged 12+ looking for a one-time escape-room experience with 1-6 players.
