About the game

Weather Machine puts players in the role of scientists fine-tuning a prototype device that controls Earth's weather, balancing rainfall, wind, and temperature for various client needs while managing an unpredictable "butterfly effect." Designed by Vital Lacerda, it delivers his signature web of interlocking systems: action points, tile placement, and worker placement all interact in dense, rewarding ways. Players must secure suppliers, manage limited time, and adapt to shifting global conditions to keep the machine, and the planet, under control. It's a heavyweight puzzle of systems for players who love intricate euro design.

Hobbli's Notes

As with all of Vital Lacerda's designs, Weather Machine rewards patient, methodical planning with an intricate, tightly interlocking rules engine. The environmental theme is unusually well integrated into the mechanisms rather than pasted on top. This is a game for veteran euro gamers ready to invest serious table time.
