About the game
Iberian Gauge is a train and stock-market economic game set on the rugged terrain of the Iberian Peninsula. Players invest in railroad companies during Stock Rounds, then use their shares to build track for those companies during Operating Rounds, with build order determined by purchase order. Leasing track from rival companies can cut costs and keep expansion moving, but neglecting a company's growth will tank its stock value. It's a dense, calculated economic game in the tradition of 18xx-style railway design.
Hobbli's Notes
A tight, clever railway-and-stock game from a designer known for smart economic systems. It rewards careful planning and an appetite for spreadsheet-style optimization, so it's best suited to groups who already enjoy 18xx-style games.
