About the game

Lignum is a heavy strategic optimization game about running a 19th-century lumber mill for 2-4 players. Each round, players travel to the forest to gather tools and hire workers, fell timber, and decide how to transport and process wood for maximum profit. Players must also balance stocking enough firewood and food to survive harsh winters while competing for the best cutting areas. This second edition includes the Joinery & Buildings expansion, adding special buildings and joiners for extra income.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editors regard Lignum as a demanding but deeply satisfying logistics puzzle, rewarding players who can optimize their entire supply chain from forest to sawmill. The added Joinery & Buildings content in this edition gives even more strategic texture. It's a heavy Euro best suited to experienced gamers who enjoy long, tightly interlocking economic engines.
