About the game
Empires of the Void II sends two to five players to the fringes of the galaxy to build a new empire after losing their homeworld to the invading Kurross. Using area majority, dice rolling, and hand management, players explore uncharted planets, forge alliances, wage war, and construct buildings across a modular board. Each inhabited planet reveals a unique story with alien species offering their own goals and challenges. Variable player powers let each faction play very differently, from diplomatic influence to military conquest. It's a narrative-rich space 4X experience in a manageable box.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's editorial team likes how Empires of the Void II makes 4X-style empire building approachable without losing its epic scope. Ryan Laukat's signature art and story-driven planet encounters give the galaxy real personality beyond dry mechanics. The variable factions and modular board keep each playthrough feeling distinct. A strong pick for groups wanting a big evening of galactic strategy with real narrative flavor.
