About the game
Legendary: Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a semi-cooperative deck-building game for 1 to 5 players that puts you in the roles of Buffy, Angel, Willow, Giles, and other fan-favorite characters from the beloved TV series. Working together, players recruit heroes and battle Villain Groups and Henchmen to weaken a Big Bad before their Scheme can be completed. A unique light/dark track shifts character strength throughout the game, echoing the show's tone. With a 500-card core set of heroes, villains, and twists, the game offers plenty of variety for repeat sessions.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a comfort-food deck-builder for anyone who grew up on the show: the Legendary engine is proven and easy to pick up, and the light/dark mechanic is a nice thematic touch rather than just a reskin. It won't wow players looking for mechanical innovation, but as a co-op hangout game for fans it delivers exactly what it promises.
