About the game
EXIT: The Game - The Pharaoh's Tomb traps players inside a mysterious Egyptian grave chamber after a holiday excursion goes wrong. Using a sand-covered notebook and an ancient spinning code dial, players must work together to crack codes, solve puzzles, and collect objects to earn their freedom before it's too late. As a fully cooperative, single-use escape-room experience, it brings the thrill of a real escape room to the table for 1-6 players. Creativity, deduction, and teamwork are the keys to escaping the tomb.
Hobbli's Notes
EXIT captures the escape-room thrill remarkably well for a boxed game, with a satisfying puzzle flow and a strong sense of discovery. The Pharaoh's Tomb entry is a great introduction to the series, though keep in mind it's designed for one playthrough only, and components get used up along the way.
What we like
- An immersive, genuine escape-room experience at home.
- A satisfying variety of puzzles keeps the pacing engaging.
- Low downtime since everyone is engaged in solving together.
- Accessible enough for casual and non-gamer groups.
Keep in mind
- It's a single-use game once the puzzles are solved.
- Can be genuinely difficult for puzzle newcomers without using hints.
- Requires writing on or cutting up physical components.
Who it's for
Families and friend groups who enjoy puzzles, ages 12 and up; cooperative play for 1-6 people.
