About the game

Flamme Rouge puts you in control of a two-rider cycling team racing to the finish line in a fast, tactical bicycle race. Playing cards from each rider's own deck determines movement, and managing exhaustion and slipstreams is key to timing the perfect sprint. The modular board lets you race across countless different courses. It's an accessible racing game with surprisingly deep push-your-luck tension.

Hobbli's Notes

Flamme Rouge captures the drama of a cycling race beautifully: the slipstream mechanic means positioning matters as much as raw speed, and it's easy enough to teach non-gamers in minutes. A fantastic light strategy game with real replay value thanks to its modular tracks.

  • Simultaneous card play keeps everyone engaged with minimal downtime.

Keep in mind

  • Deck depletion can create tense but sometimes unlucky endgames.
