About the game

Fugitive is a tense two-player card game set in the Burgle Bros universe, pitting a fleeing outlaw against a relentless pursuing agent. The fugitive secretly plays cards face down to chart an escape route while the agent uses deduction and memory to guess and reveal them. Quick to teach and play in about 20 minutes, it packs tight, asymmetric cat-and-mouse tension into a small box. Every game plays out differently as the balance of information and bluffing shifts round to round.

Hobbli's Notes

We love how much drama a small box of cards can generate. The asymmetry between fugitive and agent gives both roles a genuinely different puzzle to solve, and games rarely feel one-sided even after repeated plays. It's a fantastic pick for two players looking for something sharper than a filler but lighter than a full strategy game. A great gateway into hidden-movement and deduction genres.

What we like

  • Tight, fast-playing two-player experience with real tension.
  • Asymmetric roles keep both sides engaged and thinking differently.
  • Easy to teach and quick to set up.
  • Small footprint makes it perfect for travel.

Keep in mind

  • Strictly two-player, so it won't work for groups.
  • Repeated plays with the same opponent may reveal patterns.
  • The deduction puzzle can feel fiddly for brand-new players.

Who it's for

Ideal for two players, teens and adults, who enjoy quick, tense deduction duels; perfect for date night or a rainy-day travel game.
