About the game

Bloodborne: The Card Game brings the punishing risk-reward combat of the Chalice Dungeons to the table, as players team up to hunt down horrifying creatures for their blood. Each round, a randomly chosen monster attacks, and all players simultaneously play cards from their upgraded weapon hand to fight back together. Successfully damaging a monster earns blood based on your contribution, but monsters can strike back with exploding dice capable of dealing massive damage. Players can bank their blood permanently or keep fighting for more, risking everything if they fall in combat.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team appreciates how designer Eric M. Lang channeled the punishing intensity of the Bloodborne video game into this fast, tense card game. The exploding dice combat mechanism captures real dread, forcing tough decisions about when to keep pushing your luck versus banking your hard-earned blood. It's a great pick for fans of the video game looking for a faster, more social way to experience its brutal atmosphere. We recommend it for horror and action fans who enjoy risk management with real teeth.
