About the game

In Oh My Goods!, you play a Medieval artisan racing to build the most efficient production chain in town. Using a shared pool of randomly drawn raw material cards, you convert wood, clay, and ore into finished goods, hire assistants, and construct new buildings. Every card in your tableau can be used two different ways, so clever multi-use planning is the heart of the game. It plays fast, packs down small, and rewards players who can see combos others miss.

Hobbli's Notes

Alexander Pfister packs a surprising amount of engine-building tension into a small box of cards, and we love how quickly a game moves despite the depth of decision-making involved. The dual-use card system is genuinely clever and rewards repeat plays as you learn the interactions. It can feel a bit like solitaire-at-the-same-table, but the shared market keeps everyone honest.

What we like

  • Compact card-based production chains create satisfying engine-building puzzles.
  • Fast 30-minute playtime fits easily into a game night.
  • Multi-use cards add clever push-your-luck decisions each turn.
  • Variable setup keeps repeat plays feeling fresh.

Keep in mind

  • Interaction between players is mostly indirect, closer to a shared-market race than head-to-head conflict.
  • The thin Medieval theme is really just a wrapper for the resource-conversion puzzle.
  • New players may need a full game to grasp the best production combos.

Who it's for

Great for 2-4 players who enjoy tight economic engine-building but want a shorter, more portable experience than a full euro; ages 10 and up.
