About the game

ICECOOL is a delightful flicking dexterity game where penguin students race through hallways and doorways to snag fish before the lunch bell, while one player takes on the role of the Hall Monitor trying to catch them all. Players flick their penguin pieces in straight lines, curve them around corners, and even leap over doorway walls to collect points. The round ends when the Hall Monitor catches everyone or a Runner collects fish from all three special doors: and every player gets a turn as the Monitor. It's a fast, physical, endlessly fun game for kids and families alike.

Hobbli's Notes

ICECOOL is one of the best dexterity games for families: the penguin-shaped pieces flick beautifully, and jumping them over doorways never stops being satisfying. It strikes a perfect balance of skill and silliness that keeps both kids and adults grinning. At 30 minutes and dead simple rules, it's an easy, joyful pick for any family game night.

What we like

  • Satisfying flicking mechanics that appeal to all ages.
  • Quick 30-minute playtime keeps energy high.
  • Everyone gets a turn as the Hall Monitor, balancing the fun.
  • Charming penguin theme with tactile, well-designed components.

Keep in mind

  • Requires table space and clear play surface for flicking.
  • Limited strategic depth compared to non-dexterity games.
  • Physical skill element may frustrate less dexterous players.
