About the game
Don't Mess with Cthulhu is a quick social deduction game of hidden roles set in a Lovecraftian horror world. Players are secretly Investigators racing to uncover Elder Signs before Cthulhu awakens, or Cultists working to keep the ancient horror's identity hidden. Using shuffled Investigation cards that no one can see clearly, players take turns revealing cards and gathering clues over four tense rounds. Fast, social, and easy to teach, it's designed for repeat play across a whole evening with friends.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a lightweight, high-energy deduction game that thrives on bluffing and table talk rather than heavy rules overhead. The Lovecraftian theme and quick round structure make it an easy pick for game nights that want tension without a long setup. Because you don't know your own cards, every reveal creates genuine suspense. It rewards a talkative group willing to accuse and defend loudly.
