About the game
18CZ transports the celebrated 18xx family of railway economic games to the Czech Republic. Players buy and sell stock in up to fifteen railroad companies, with the largest shareholder taking on the president's role of laying track, running trains, and steering company finances. What makes 18CZ distinctive is its three tiers of company size, small, medium, and large, each with its own share structure and train roster, and bigger companies can absorb smaller ones as the map matures. Ultimately, it's not the biggest railway empire that wins but the player with the greatest combined wealth in cash and shares.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a serious 18xx entry for players who already love the genre's blend of stock speculation and route-building. The three-tier company system adds a genuinely fresh wrinkle to the formula, though newcomers to 18xx should look elsewhere first: this is not a gentle introduction.
