About the game

Feudum is an economic medieval game where banished travelers rebuild their fortunes by farming, fighting as knights, or founding their own feudums. Players control several characters roaming the countryside to tend farms, tax towns, and take outposts while rising through one of six interconnected guilds. A progressive economic cycle links farmers, merchants, alchemists, and knights together, rewarding players who manage their guild relationships and key locations wisely across five epochs. With deep hand and resource management, it's a sprawling strategic puzzle wrapped in a whimsical fantasy setting.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team sees Feudum as a genuinely ambitious heavy euro, layering guild economics, area influence, and simultaneous action selection into a dense, interconnected system. Its scope rewards players who enjoy untangling complex engines over multiple plays. That density comes at a real cost, though: both its complexity and downtime scores sit near the top of the scale, so this is not a casual pick. Experienced heavy-game groups who enjoy Terra Mystica-style depth will find plenty to sink their teeth into.

What we like

  • Richly layered economic system with deeply interconnected guilds.
  • High player agency in choosing which strategic path to pursue.
  • Atmospheric medieval fantasy setting with whimsical flavor.
  • Strong replayability from the many available paths to victory.

Keep in mind

  • Very high complexity creates a steep learning curve.
  • Long playtime combined with heavy downtime between turns.
  • Simultaneous action selection can lead to real analysis paralysis.

Who it's for

Best for experienced strategy gamers (14+) who enjoy dense economic engine-building games, playing in groups of 2-5.
