About the game
One Night Ultimate Werewolf: Daybreak adds eleven new hidden roles to the fast-paced social deduction formula of One Night Ultimate Werewolf. Every player gets a secret role with a special ability, and over the course of a single morning phase the village must figure out who among them is a werewolf. There are no ongoing rounds or eliminations: just one night of information gathering followed by a single vote. It can be played on its own for up to seven players or combined with the original game to seat as many as ten.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's editorial team loves how much social deduction energy this squeezes into just ten minutes per round. The new roles in Daybreak add fresh bluffing angles that keep veteran One Night players guessing. Because it's designed for bigger tables, smaller groups may lose some of the magic that comes from more suspects to interrogate. As a rapid-fire party opener, though, it's hard to beat for getting a room talking fast.
What we like
- Extremely fast single-round social deduction gameplay.
- No moderator needed after initial role setup thanks to companion app support.
- Eleven new roles add fresh bluffing and deduction options.
- Combines with the base game to seat up to ten players.
Keep in mind
- Works best with larger groups, so smaller tables lose some appeal.
- One-shot rounds offer less strategic depth than multi-round deduction games.
- Some newer roles can feel confusing for first-time players.
Who it's for
Great for larger groups of teens and adults (8+), ideally 5 or more players, who enjoy fast social deduction party games.
