About the game

Werewords blends social deduction with a real-time word-guessing party game. Most players must guess a secret word by asking yes-or-no questions before time runs out, but a hidden Werewolf among them knows the word and is secretly working against the group. A Seer who also knows the word tries to nudge deduction without being too obvious, or the Werewolf may unmask them and steal the win. Fast rounds, bluffing, and quick deduction make it an energetic, laugh-filled group game. A companion app supplies endless secret words across many categories.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli loves Werewords for taking the tension of hidden-role party games and marrying it to a fun, universally accessible word-guessing challenge. The Seer's balancing act of helping without giving too much away is a clever social puzzle. It scales well from small to large groups and plays in just minutes. Its real-time chaos can occasionally overwhelm shyer or younger players.

What we like

  • Fast, chaotic rounds keep energy high in large groups.
  • Combines word-guessing with clever hidden-role deduction.
  • Extremely easy to teach and quick to set up.
  • Companion app provides near-infinite word variety.

Keep in mind

  • Real-time chaos may overwhelm quieter or younger players.
  • Best experienced with larger groups, less compelling at minimum player count.
