About the game

Linko! (also known as Abluxxen) is a fast, cutthroat card game where players lay down sets of matching numbers, hoping to outdo whoever played there before them. If you play more cards of a higher value than an opponent's previous play, you steal their cards right off the table: but leftover cards in hand cost you points at game's end. With jokers wild and a shared card display refilling the action, tension builds every round as everyone races to dump their hand profitably. It's a quick, snappy filler with real bite.

Hobbli's Notes

Linko!'s stealing mechanic is what makes it sing: there's real schadenfreude in swiping a pile of cards from an unsuspecting opponent. At just 20 minutes, it's an ideal quick filler that still rewards sharp counting and timing. It's light and a little chaotic by design, so don't expect deep strategy, but as a fast, social card game it's hard to beat.

What we like

  • Card-stealing mechanic creates instant table drama.
  • Extremely quick 20-minute playtime.
  • Simple rules make it easy to teach anyone.
  • Scales comfortably from 2 to 5 players.

Keep in mind

  • Can feel chaotic and light for strategy-focused gamers.
  • Leftover-card penalty can feel punishing to new players.
  • Limited long-term depth after repeated plays.
