About the game
This expansion for the base-smashing card game Smash Up adds four wild new factions, Time Travelers, Cyborg Apes, Super Spies, and Shapeshifters, each with unique abilities that combine minion and action cards to score points on shared bases. Time Travelers let you reuse cards, Cyborg Apes power up minions with attachable actions, and Shapeshifters can disguise as anyone. Playable on its own as a two-player game or merged with other Smash Up sets for up to four players. It's a fast, chaotic mashup of genres and mechanics.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team always enjoys a new Smash Up release, and Science Fiction Double Feature's factions are especially inventive and fun to combo together. As with any Smash Up expansion, the real value comes from mixing it into your existing collection for endless faction combinations. On its own it's a fine two-player set, but it truly shines blended with other Smash Up boxes.
