About the game

Two Rooms and a Boom is a real-time hidden-role party game for six or more players split between two separate rooms, one team hiding a Bomber and the other protecting a President. Across five timed rounds, players are shuffled between rooms, forcing constant renegotiation of who to trust and what to reveal. If the Bomber ends the game in the same room as the President, the Red Team wins; otherwise the Blue Team triumphs. Bluffing, persuasion, and chaotic cross-room diplomacy define every round.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team considers this a must-have for large group game nights: the physical room-splitting mechanic creates a level of social chaos few party games match. It scales beautifully up to 30 players, making it perfect for game conventions or big family gatherings. The lack of a fixed table setup does mean you need real space and willing participants for full effect.

What we like

  • Scales to huge groups, up to 30 players.
  • Real-time room-switching creates unmatched social chaos.
  • Simple rules despite deep bluffing potential.
  • Great icebreaker for large gatherings.

Keep in mind

  • Requires significant physical space with two separate rooms.
  • Not suited to small or quiet groups.
  • Little strategic depth beyond social deduction.
