About the game

Le Havre: The Inland Port is a lean two-player redesign of Uwe Rosenberg's economic classic, where both players compete to become the richest harbormaster. Over twelve rounds you acquire resources, construct buildings, and use their special effects to grow your production chains. Buildings not used for a while gain value but risk being sold off, forcing constant tactical decisions. It's a tight, satisfying head-to-head resource-optimization game from a master designer.

Hobbli's Notes

This inland port distills Le Havre's engine-building brilliance into a crisp two-player experience. Hobbli appreciates how every building choice carries weight in such a short round count. It's a fantastic date-night option for two players who enjoy meaty Euro puzzles.

What we like

  • Tight, well-balanced two-player design.
  • Deep resource optimization with meaningful choices every round.
  • Interesting tension between using and hoarding buildings.
  • Quick to set up compared to full Le Havre.

Keep in mind

  • Limited to exactly two players.
  • Can feel dry to players who prefer thematic immersion over pure optimization.

Who it's for

Ideal for experienced two-player couples or friends age 12+ who enjoy resource management Euros.
