About the game
Chicken Cha Cha Cha is a colorful memory game where players guide wooden chickens around a circular farmyard pathway, trying to leapfrog past every other chicken to steal their tail feathers. On your turn you flip hidden yard tiles hoping to match the image in front of your chicken, moving forward with every successful match. Landing on another player's chicken lets you steal all the feathers they're carrying, including any they'd already stolen from others. The first player to collect every tail feather wins the game.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a beloved classic for good reason, turning simple memory-matching into a genuinely exciting race with real stakes for the whole family. Younger kids love the chunky wooden chickens and bright farmyard theme, while the leapfrogging steal mechanic keeps even adults paying attention. It's short, silly, and endlessly replayable thanks to the random tile setup each game.
What we like
- Simple memory mechanic is instantly accessible to young children.
- Quick 20-minute playtime fits easily into any game night.
- Colorful chunky components make it engaging and tactile.
- Random tile setup keeps every game fresh.
Keep in mind
- Offers limited depth once players are past early childhood.
