About the game

Rallyman is a dice-driven racing game where players build their own rally track by connecting double-sided boards of asphalt or snow before racing through it. Movement comes from rolling and allocating dice representing different speeds, with careful risk management needed to avoid dangerous spinouts on tight turns. Players collect time cards based on the speed they maintain, aiming to accumulate the least total time across the race. Push-your-luck tension comes from deciding how hard to push your dice before a crash costs you precious seconds.

Hobbli's Notes

Rallyman does a great job of simulating the risk-reward feel of rally racing through clever dice management. The push-your-luck tension of squeezing extra speed out of a turn, while risking a costly spinout, is consistently thrilling. Its modular track system keeps race layouts fresh across sessions. A strong pick for racing game fans who enjoy tactical risk assessment over sheer luck.

What we like

  • Push-your-luck dice mechanic captures real racing tension.
  • Modular track boards allow for varied race layouts each session.
  • Strong solo mode makes it enjoyable outside of group play.
  • Simple core rules with meaningful risk-management depth.

Keep in mind

  • Heavy reliance on dice can frustrate players seeking more control.
