About the game
Endeavor sends players across the Age of Exploration to build seafaring empires, balancing Industry, Culture, Finance, and Politics tracks against ambitious colonization and conquest. Over just seven rounds, players construct buildings tied to their Industry track, gain population markers through Culture, and use Trade Tokens to ship, occupy, attack, or draw cards to expand influence. Occupying cities and controlling connections between them scores glory, while attacking rivals can steal territory outright. The tight round count keeps the pace brisk despite deep strategic tradeoffs between short-term building goals and long-term regional control. It's an elegant mid-weight euro with a real sense of empire-building momentum.
Hobbli's Notes
Endeavor packs an impressive amount of strategic tension into just seven rounds: every building and track choice ripples through the rest of the game. The tug-of-war over regional control via shipping and occupation gives it more direct interaction than most euros of its era. A modern classic that still holds up well against newer area-control designs.
