About the game
TurfMaster is a horse-racing game for two to eight players, contested over a three-race meet on a double-sided board offering flat racing or steeplechase hurdles. Each player manages a personal deck of movement cards and a die, simultaneously selecting cards to advance their horse in position order before a shared dice roll adjusts everyone's progress further. Blocking, lane changes, and position-based handicaps make inside track position a constant tactical concern, while joker cards help you dodge penalties when you're out in front. The top four finishers in each race earn points toward the overall championship.
Hobbli's Notes
A charmingly old-school racing design: the simultaneous card selection and positional blocking create real tactical tension, even if the downtime with a full table of eight can stretch on. Best enjoyed with a group that loves classic racing games.

- Blocking and lane mechanics reward tactical positioning.
Keep in mind
- High downtime, especially at full player counts.
