About the game

Zenith takes place in a far-future solar system shared uneasily by Humans, Robots, and Animods, all vying for control of the senate. Players compete to gain Influence across five planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, and Jupiter, using area majority and hand management to push toward one of three distinct victory conditions. The game ends the instant a player achieves an absolute, democratic, or popular victory, creating a tense race to the finish. Its modular board and team-based options keep matches feeling fresh.

Hobbli's Notes

Zenith stands out for offering three genuinely different paths to victory, which keeps players weighing multiple strategies at once rather than fixating on a single plan. The tight playtime and small player range make it a nimble sci-fi area-control game for a quick session. As a newer release, it hasn't yet built the track record of more established titles, but its multiple win conditions are an intriguing hook.

What we like

  • Three distinct victory conditions add strategic variety.
  • Quick playtime fits into a busy game night.
  • Modular board keeps setups varied game to game.
  • Accessible complexity for area-majority genre newcomers.

Keep in mind

  • As a newer title, long-term replayability is less proven.
  • Tug-of-war tension mechanics may feel abstract to some players.
