About the game
Odin is a fast card-shedding game where players send their Vikings out into the world by playing sets of matching-color or matching-number cards in escalating value. Players can pass and rejoin later, but whoever plays and isn't the lead must take a card from the previous play into their hand. Hands end when a player empties their hand or plays all their remaining cards of one suit or number at once. Whoever accumulates the fewest leftover-card penalty points across hands wins the game.
Hobbli's Notes
We like the clever twist of taking cards back into your hand when you're not the lead: it adds a layer of push-and-pull rarely seen in climbing games. It's light and quick, making it an easy pickup for casual groups. Not a deep strategic game, but a fun, brisk shedding game with a neat hook.
