About the game
Trekking Through History sends players on a three-day tour through human history using a time machine, visiting historical events across three rounds. Each turn, players choose one event to visit and spend hours there, earning itinerary points and Time Crystals that bend the space-time continuum for future turns. Bonus points come from visiting events in chronological order. The player with the most points after three rounds wins.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli appreciates that Trekking Through History was designed to bring gamers and non-gamers together, offering light strategic subtlety without heavy rules. It's a pleasant, educational choice for mixed groups.
What we like
- Approachable for non-gamers while offering subtle strategy.
- Educational historical theme throughout.
- Includes a solid solo mode.
- Quick, clean turns built around card drafting.
Keep in mind
- Relatively light strategic depth for veteran gamers.
- As a newer title, it has a smaller community track record.
- Limited direct interaction between players.
Who it's for
Families and casual or education-minded groups, ages 8 and up, will enjoy this for one to four players, including solo play.
