About the game
The Grand Carnival tasks players with building the most impressive fairground the town has ever seen. Each turn you cover a number on your player board to determine the strength of your action, then place foundation tiles, build polyomino attractions, or move guests through your walkways. Bigger attractions draw more tickets but can clog guest movement, creating a constant balancing act. Over seven rounds you'll unlock special tricks of the trade and race opponents to match them before points are tallied.
Hobbli's Notes
The Grand Carnival is a clever puzzle that rewards spatial planning as much as economic timing. Hobbli enjoys how the number-covering mechanic forces genuinely tough trade-offs each turn. It's a satisfying mid-weight pick for players who enjoy tile-laying puzzles with a competitive edge.
