About the game

Mandala is a two-player abstract card game themed around the ritual creation and destruction of sacred sand mandalas. Players play colored cards into shared central mandalas and their own private fields, racing to complete a mandala's six colors and then claim cards to build a scoring "river." Because card values aren't fixed until claimed, careful reading of the shifting board state is essential. It's a quick, elegant, tightly designed two-player game about color, timing, and area control.

Hobbli's Notes

Mandala impresses with how much strategic tension it packs into a 20-minute, small-footprint game. The uncertainty around which colors will be valuable keeps both players guessing until surprisingly late, making even short games feel meaningfully close. It's a great pick for fans of tight, elegant two-player abstracts who want something quick but still rich in decision-making.
