About the game

A tense two-player bluffing and set-collection card game, originally released as Throne and Grail, in which players build a shared line of cards by adding to or collecting from its end. Each round you either play a card or, once, sweep the five most recent cards into your collection, scoring point values and set bonuses. Collecting all three hidden special cards secures an instant win. Fast rounds and simple rules hide a surprising depth of bluffing and timing.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team enjoys how much psychological tension District Noir squeezes from such a minimal ruleset - every decision to take or leave the line matters. Its quick 20-minute playtime makes it an ideal two-player filler with real teeth. The gangster/noir retheme adds nice atmosphere to a proven design. Some players may find the abstract line-building a bit dry without strong immersion in the theme.
