About the game
Capital Lux is a bluffing card game where players decide each turn whether to play a character into their own hometown for future points or into the shared capital to trigger a useful ability. Every character belongs to one of four professions, and the capital's totals set a limit on how much of each profession you're allowed to keep in your hometown at round's end. Special abilities let you gather gold, plant secret modifiers, draw cards, or steal cards back from the capital, all while trying to read your opponents' plans. With beautiful Kwanchai Moriya artwork, it's a tense, quick game of risk and hidden information.
Hobbli's Notes
Capital Lux packs a lot of tension into a short, portable card game: every single card play is a meaningful decision. The hidden modifier cards keep everyone guessing about the true limits until the reveal, which makes for great table talk. It's simple to teach but rewards careful reading of opponents' intentions. A strong choice for groups who enjoy bluffing games with a card-drafting foundation.
What we like

- Hidden modifier cards create satisfying bluffing and tension.
- Beautiful artwork and quick setup make it very tableable.
- Four distinct professions give varied tactical options.
Keep in mind
- Small hand sizes can make a single bad read costly.
