About the game
Timeline: Music & Cinema challenges players to place historical events from music and film history in correct chronological order using a deck of 110 double-sided cards. On your turn, you play a card from your hand into the growing timeline; guess right and it stays, guess wrong and you draw a replacement. The first player to empty their hand by placing cards correctly wins the round, with dramatic simultaneous finishes triggering bonus rounds. As with every entry in the Timeline series, this title can be freely combined with other Timeline decks for endless variety.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team loves Timeline as one of the best "anyone can play" trivia games around; there's no reading or writing required, just quick deduction and a bit of luck. The music and cinema theme makes it a great crowd-pleaser for pop-culture fans of many ages. It's short, portable, and endlessly mixable with other Timeline sets, making it a staple travel and party game. A simple idea executed almost perfectly.
