About the game

Nauticus casts players as Hanseatic shipyard owners racing to assemble ships and load them with valuable goods for delivery. Using customized action wheels, you'll draft components, place tiles on a modular harbor board, and coordinate the careful construction of masts and sails before shipping off. Every action can be executed only once per round, so timing and planning are essential to outmaneuver rivals. Designed by Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling, it's a medium-weight economic Euro for 2-4 players.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team likes how Nauticus turns simple drafting and tile placement into a tense race, thanks to the once-per-round action restriction. The customized action wheels are a clever touch that keeps everyone engaged even when it isn't quite their turn. It's a solid, thinky Euro from two legendary designers, though its dry economic theme keeps it from being a showstopper. Fans of tight, puzzly optimization games will find plenty to like here.
