About the game
Rococo puts two to five players in charge of an 18th-century dressmaking business, hiring employees to manufacture coats and gowns for the era's most prestigious ball. Each turn you play one employee card to hire, buy resources, manufacture goods, or invest in the ball's decorations, with each employee offering a unique bonus. After seven rounds, the game culminates in a grand ball where rented garments and funded decorations are scored for prestige points. It's a richly themed economic euro with a distinctive employee-card engine.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli appreciates the elegant employee-card system here, where each hire nudges your production engine in a slightly different direction. The rococo aesthetic and production chains are satisfying to optimize, though the moderate-heavy complexity and downtime call for an experienced euro-gaming table.
