About the game
Love Letter is a compact game of risk and deduction in which players try to get their letter into the hands of the princess while deducing and eliminating rivals. With only sixteen cards and a single card in hand at a time, each turn's simple draw-and-play decision carries surprising weight, as powerful cards can expose you to elimination just as easily as they can knock out an opponent. Games last only a few minutes, making it easy to play several rounds in a row. Its tiny footprint and sharp deduction have made it a modern classic filler.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team considers Love Letter one of the best pure filler games ever designed: minimal components, maximum tension. The deduction and bluffing elements make every card play a small puzzle, even with such a slim ruleset. Its brevity makes it perfect for opening or closing a game night, or squeezing in during downtime. The game's numerous themed editions show just how enduring its core design has proven.
