About the game

Myrmes puts players in charge of a thriving ant colony, sending workers out to explore the land, harvest stone and aphids, hunt prey, and fulfill requests from the Queen. Each player manages an individual colony board tracking nurses, larvae growth, and available actions, while a shared landscape board lets colonies compete for resources through pheromone placement. Over three years, seasonal events shape strategy, and at the end each colony must survive a harsh winter that tests its stockpiled strength. With deep resource management and a genuinely unique ant-colony theme, Myrmes is a rewarding worker-placement game for 2-4 players.

Hobbli's Notes

Few games nail a thematic niche quite like Myrmes does with ant colonies: the resource chains, pheromone trails, and seasonal events combine into a satisfying simulation. It takes real effort to learn the iconography and colony board at first, but once it clicks, the interplay between exploration and colony management is genuinely engaging.
