About the game

Police Precinct is a cooperative (or semi-cooperative) mystery game where players take on specialized police officers racing to solve a murder while keeping street crime from spiraling out of control. You'll search shuffled investigation decks across the city for evidence, manage growing emergencies drawn each turn, and possibly deal with a corrupt officer secretly suppressing clues. Player-specific expertise and doughnut tokens help boost searches and complete tasks under mounting time pressure. With traitor mechanics, escalating crime, and a ticking clock, it delivers tense cooperative deduction with a dash of hidden-traitor suspicion.

Hobbli's Notes

The optional corrupt-cop mechanic elevates this above a standard cooperative deduction game, not knowing whether a teammate is quietly sabotaging your investigation adds real bite to the trust at the table. Balancing the murder investigation against rising city-wide crime keeps the tension consistent throughout. At 90 minutes with a fair bit going on, it takes a session or two to run smoothly, especially with the traitor variant active.

What we like

  • Clever optional traitor mechanic adds suspicion to a cooperative game.
  • Strong murder-mystery theme with escalating city crime tension.
  • Variable player roles give everyone a distinct job.
  • Scales widely from solo play up to six players.

Keep in mind

  • 90-minute runtime with several systems running at once.
  • New groups may need a play or two to run smoothly.
  • Traitor variant can create friction if not everyone enjoys hidden roles.

Who it's for

Great for mystery and cooperative-deduction fans ages 13+, playable solo or with up to six, especially fun with the optional hidden-traitor variant.
