About the game

Cheating Moth (Mogel Motte) is a fast, mischievous card game where players race to empty their hand by playing cards one higher or lower than the top of the discard pile. When you can't legally play, the game encourages you to secretly cheat instead, sneaking cards away by hiding them up a sleeve or dropping them under the table without getting caught. One player holds the Guard Bug and can accuse others of cheating, triggering a tense standoff where the accused either gets away with it or pays the price. Special action cards like the Ant, Cockroach, and Mosquito add bursts of chaos as everyone scrambles to react.

Hobbli's Notes

This is a wonderfully silly party card game that turns rule-breaking into the whole point of play. The tension of trying to cheat without getting caught by the Guard creates constant laughter around the table, and the reflex-based action cards keep the pace lively. It's not a game for deep strategists, but as a rowdy filler for a mixed group it's hard to beat.
