About the game

Hive is a two-player abstract strategy game with no board at all - the insect-themed tiles you place form the playing surface as the game unfolds. Each creature moves in its own distinctive way, from the spider's fixed steps to the beetle's ability to climb atop the hive. The goal is to be the first to completely surround your opponent's queen bee while avoiding the same fate. Its portability and chess-like depth have made it a lasting classic.

Hobbli's Notes
