About the game

Winner's Circle is Reiner Knizia's horse-racing classic in which players bet on and race seven horses of varying strengths around an oval track over three heats. On each turn, a rolled die determines which horses may advance, and players choose which horse to move from those eligible, sometimes helping their own bets and sometimes sabotaging rivals. Bets placed before each race determine payouts based on finishing position, mixing prediction with tactical movement choices. As a rework of Knizia's Turf Horse Racing, it delivers light, social racing fun for larger groups.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team loves Winner's Circle as a lighthearted party favorite: the mix of betting and movement choice creates constant table talk and light-hearted rivalry. It's simple enough for newcomers to grasp in minutes but still leaves room for canny bluffing about which horse you're truly backing. Perfect for a boisterous game night where the stakes stay friendly.
